(SQEMS) designed to support safe operations, environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement throughout our organization.
The Operational Excellence Group is responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the systems and processes that support fleet performance and operational reliability. The group provides leadership and oversight for fleet assurance, training and competency management, document control, audit and inspection readiness, management system governance, and regulatory compliance.
Working closely with both vessel and shoreside teams, the Operational Excellence Group helps ensure that Polar Tankers operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies, industry standards, and applicable regulations.
The Director, Operational Excellence & Fleet Assurance serves as the Designated Person Ashore (DPA) and leads the company's management system and fleet assurance efforts. Supporting these activities, the Quality Assurance & Training Coordinator oversees training, competency, credentialing, and document governance programs, while the Fleet Assurance Superintendent supports audit, inspection, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across fleet operations.
