The Polar Tankers Fleet Engineering group provides the resources to keep the machinery plants and other equipment of our tankers operating safely and efficiently.
The Polar Tankers Fleet Engineering group provides the technical resources, leadership, and expertise needed to keep the machinery plants and other equipment of our tankers operating safely, reliably, and efficiently. Members of the Engineering group work both ashore and onboard the vessels. The onboard engineering team operates, maintains, and repairs the engines, generators, and other components of the ships’ power plant.
The Shoreside Engineering Group provides technical guidance and engineering support for fleet operations, maintenance planning, regulatory compliance, dry-dock planning, repair execution, asset integrity, and continuous improvement. Working closely with vessel crews and shoreside teams, the group supports reliable vessel performance, operational readiness, and the safe execution of maintenance and repair activities.
Shoreside Engineering also supports long-term fleet reliability through condition monitoring, capital project planning, corrective action support, management of change, and improvement initiatives that help reduce operational risk and strengthen the reliability of critical vessel systems. All Fleet and shoreside Engineering personnel are dedicated to protecting the environment in which we operate by maintaining high standards for equipment reliability, maintenance, and pollution prevention.
