One of the primary tools Polar Tankers utilizes in achieving Safety and Environmental excellence is the Safety, Quality, Environmental Management System or SQEMS. This integrated management system describes the pertinent safety, quality and environmental protection programs in use by Polar Tankers.

In support of these efforts, Polar Tankers maintains a core Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) organization that provides guidance and consultation to the fleet. The organization consists of an HSE Manager, HSE Director, HSE Advisor, HSE Construction Advisor, Emergency Response Director and Emergency Response Coordinator.

Polar Tankers is also proud to have received the prestigious ECOPRO award from the State of Washington, helping to demonstrate our commitment to the pursuit of environmental excellence.
